Protect vision.
Impudicity causes great troubles. While
walking, our Holy Prophet (May peace be upon him) always used to keep his eyes
down. He never even used to look on the face of the person he would speak to.
People, who do not protect their vision, face many problems like losing
interest in prayers, evil thoughts, muddle-headedness, masturbation,
psychological troubles, repulsiveness from good deeds, attraction in ill
feats, talking with self in loneliness, false assumptions, imaginary marriage, and sexual diseases/ disorders.
Forgetfulness,
absentmindedness, inability to recall names, irritation of eyes, itchiness,
twinge, tiredness of eyes, watering eyes, and heaviness are commonly faced by
those who do not guard their sight. If a person keeps his vision protected, he
is not only saved from numerous problems but his faith is also strengthened.
In Surah e Noor, Allah
Almighty initially addresses Muslim men to protect their vision and in the
later part, he ordered the same for Momin women. Evil which Satan can get done
through humans’ eyes is far greater than other parts of the body. Sight is such
a weapon that injures both the hunter and the prey. Our Holy Prophet (May
peace be upon him) demanded two things from Muslims and assured them with
Jannah. First being the protection of eyes and secondly the protection of private
parts. Protection of one’s private parts is only possible when vision is under
control and eyes are protected.
Food and its
Utensils:
After having your meal
lick your fingers, properly clean, and wash the utensil. Quantity of food should
never be more than what you cannot consume. Traditionally, our foods are rich
and oily. Most of us eat less and waste more of such foods. People take
excessive oil in their plates but neither do they eat it nor properly clean the
utensil. Thus such people abuse the blessings of Almighty. Even womenfolk at
our homes do not pay attention to this important Sunnah. In most homes,
utensils are accumulated and cleaned later. Obviously, as long as these
utensils are not cleaned, Satan will continue exploring them. A utensil accurses
when Satan touches it. Whereas when a person cleans and washes a utensil
immediately, it prays to Almighty for him saying: ‘O my lord, save this person
from the fire of hell, the way he has saved me from Satan’.
From an economical perspective, a utensil so cleaned not only saves time, effort, and
soap but also keeps one safe from many evils. It prevents women from getting
skin diseases that are caused due to allergies from dirty utensils lying for a long time. Similarly, people who take food while standing suffer from mental
stress, depression, sadness, and similar psychological and digestive problems.
Dressing and way
of life:
Our Holy Prophet (may
peace be upon him) always used to dress up in loose clothes. In the present modern and
developed world, people prefer to put on loose clothing after having tried
tighter attires in the recent past. People who wear tight clothes face problems
and complications that they are unaware of. Today where clothes are getting
shrunk, so are the utensils and hearts. Dress is a reflection of one’s personality.
Wearing of jeans and tight dresses has adverse effects on the sensor
system of a body. Continued use of such dresses makes it prone to skin
diseases, physical ailments, tiredness, disturbance of mental peace, and genetic
impediments. Men and women who wear tight dresses are likely to endure more
sexual problems as compared to those habitual of loose clothes. Rubbing effect
due to movements while wearing tight dresses, causes frequent arousal and thus
a person might likely get ill due to various sexual diseases like
blennorrhagia, spermatorrhoea, etc. Similarly, women are also endangered by
sicknesses like leucorrhoea, breast cancer, and other sexual problems. A person
who wears tight clothes also becomes narrow-minded.
