The difference between mentor and recruits or school children is in reasoning, attitude, thinking, behaviour and actions. Some people repeat the same mistake over and over, again and again, and time to time whenever they get any opportunity. Some others learn by their own mistakes, and there are a few who learns by the mistake committed by others, they do not commit mistakes. Well, these are the mentors, leaders, trainers and one who determines their destiny.
It is said that someone asked Luqman Hakim (the wisest man). How did you learn wisdom? He answered, from the foolish. Again asked how? He said that I avoided committing their mistakes by observing the consequences they followed. If someone falls in the pit before you, it is better not to fall into the same pit. Think before you leap.
Here I would like to tell the story of a lion, a jackal and a fox.
It is said that once a jackal went hunting and encountered the lion, king of the forest. The lion asked where he was going? He said to hunt. The lion said today hunt with me, and we will distribute it. He was happy. A
little further they saw a fox. The lion asked the same and after the conversation, he took her too. Now all the three went in search of the hunt. After a long day of hard work, they killed three animals, a yak, a deer and a rabbit.
In the evening the lion first asked the jackal, "Divide it." The jackal was proud that today he has helped the lion, but still give him more and spend less. He said the yak belongs to you, the deer is mine, and the rabbit is for the fox.
The lion became angry when he heard that, how did you dare to take a whole deer. Saying this, he slapped the jackal furiously with his paw and he was dead.
Then he turned to the fox. Now it’s your turn to divide.
The fox said, "Your Excellency, the yak is for your lunch, the deer is for your breakfast
and the rabbit is for your supper or at any time you like, and it is not known
whether this wolf's meat is healthy or not. However, after examining, you may
decide."
The lion laughed, "Clever Fox, where did you learn so
much wisdom?" He said seeing the fate of the fox. The lion roared, "Good,
take the rabbit away with you."
If a fox can learn from the mistake of jackal why should not you!
This short story tells there are three types of people.
One who has power, wealth and throne-like the lion even if they are not mentors still they can survive. but sometimes cunning foxes kill them too, it is another story I"ll tell any other day.
2nd group of people who don't have power and wisdom, they are very helpless, poor and ...
The third group who has the wisdom not only survives but sometimes rule over the world by their tricks. So if you are a wise, but don't have power or wealth no need to worry about that. You can grasp everything in your fist. Try it
